ONE ROOM CHALLENGE: WEEK 5: THE HOME STRETCH

Hi! and welcome back if you have been here before! We are on the home stretch of the One Room Challenge! I am so excited to have my bathroom back! The good news is we have finished 80% of the work already! I would say the tiling was the most time consuming part of this entire project, A LOT OF TILE! The wall tile is all done including the grout, and the floor tile is going in today! That should be a piece of cake compared to the walls!

So this is behind where the vanity will be. I had a hard time deciding if I should continue the board and batten behind the mirror, or where we should end the trim pieces. Or, should we just do drywall? or do tile? We ended up bringing down the white tile and I think it was the right decision!

I did end up ordering a few of the rugs that you guys suggested last week, as well as some coordinating shower curtains. Here are the 3 rug options and two curtain options that I ordered.

All of the rug options have a completely different look, to be honest Im not completely in love with any of them individually but I think each of them would work well in the space. None of them are actual "bath mats" they are just regular rugs in a 2' x 3' size. I think the third one is my favorite over all, I am a color lover and I cant deny it!

I am sort of in love with the tassel curtain. I don't think the other one stands a chance!

There still is a lot to do, is anyone else freaking out?!

This is way more amazing than the bathroom at my own house. Seriously how AWESOME is my contractor? Plus, this was done in two days. HIRE GOOD PEOPLE! I am picking paint colors for this room later today! I will do a full blog post on it when its finished!
